Education K-12 Greenville Middle School Greenville County Schools Greenville, South Carolina Completed: 2007 Cost: $13.67M Square Footage/Scope: 30,000SF Addition and 71,000SF Renovation Next Back	GREENVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL Located on a concentrated urban site near downtown Greenville, this renovation/addition project had numerous site challenges. Working with several state agencies, our team incorporated a design solution that achieved the project's goal of improved site circulation and traffic flow. Now complete, the 800-student core facility features a 30,000 SF addition, as well as 71,000 SF of renovated space. The two-story addition accommodates sixth grade and related arts programs. Renovations to the existing structure included new mechanical, fire suppression, and technology systems. A new plaza adjacent to the arts lab incorporates a series of sculpture kiosks for students to display their work publicly, which parents can view as they collect their children at the end of the day. This project was completed by MKA in association with Little Diversified Architectural Consulting.
