GREEK HOUSING COMPLEX
Norris, Wannamaker, Bradley, Bowen, and Donaldson Halls

This project included the renovation of five existing residence halls, as well as the design of two new residence halls to meet programmatic needs of Clemson's on-campus sororities and fraternities. Constructed between 1935 and 1938, all five original halls represent an architectural style traditional to Clemson; renovations and new residence halls are sympathetic to this style. MKA worked in association with Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas to create a unique residential feel. The project required an in-depth analysis of the prevalent architectural styles and existing building components that have accumulated on campus over the years.

The design reinforced the residential quadrangle by inserting two new buildings and strengthened the quad's linkage to major campus paths. Key exterior components included tailgate terraces, two pavilions, and recreational courts for basketball.
